Mr. Carmelo Reitano

Mr. Carmelo Reitano is an experienced entrepreneur with over 25 years in tourism and hospitality sector. He is the builder and owner of Karafuu Hotel Beach Resort and Spa, located in Zanzibar (Michamvi) but as well as shareholder of a hotel management company in Zanzibar.

Originally from Italy, Carmelo Reitano is the co-founder of Africa Spirit, a Tour Operator and DMC based in Italy which organize travels from Europe to Tanzania. He is also the owner of a shipyard in his country and the owner of two restaurants in Luxembourg and one in London (United Kingdom).

Mr. Yves Montel

Mr. Yves Montel is a seasoned hotelier, with over 35 years-experience in the field, working all over the world for renowned companies such as Hilton International & Marriott International. He holds a Master in Hospitality and Finances. In Zanzibar, where he resides for the last 12 years, he successfully opened The Residence Hotel in Kizimkazi, in 2014, one of the most beautiful property of the island. He then opened his own hotel, Indigo Beach Zanzibar, in 2014 and work as a Hospitality consultant for several clients in Zanzibar, including Toufiq Salim Turky, Vigor Group of companies.

Yves Montel is the French Honorary Consul in Zanzibar, representing the French Embassy, since 2018. Last year, he founded an NGO to support his 250-strong staff Team and created many farms around the island. Staff willing to work were kept on the same salary they had in the hotels they worked in. The final purpose of the NGO is in the field of Agriculture and Hospitality Education with the creation of a Center of Excellence in Michamvi.

Sagit Kleiner – Co-founder and VP Marketing of "Caminos Travel & Tourism", a company that majors in outgoing tourism from Israel to exotic and unique destinations. Sagit manages the marketing and branding platforms of the "Sansi" hotel chain owned by Otentic Host Company Limited.

With more than 15 years of experience in the fields of marketing and online marketing in particular, Sagit has a deep professional background in the fields of branding and advertising especially for the tourism segment. Owner of an holding LLC company that invests in real estate in the USA.

Professional expert specialized in architecture and engineering, he is part of several companies:

• Founder and CEO of a HOLDING which holds equity investments in numerous companies operating in the sector of the real estate, green renewable energy and industry of mineral water production
• Founder and CEO of COGIM ITALIA Engineering, a company operating in the sector of architecture and design
• Co-Founder and CEO of tour operator specializing in safari in Tanzania and travel holidays in Zanzibar

Mr. Yigal Avni

Mr. Yigal Avni is an experienced senior executive with a demonstrated history of more than 20 years, in the Tour Operating sector of the travel & out-going tourism industry In Israel.

Co-Founder & CEO of "Caminos Travel & Tourism", Yigal Avni is also the pioneer of charter aviation from Israel to Zanzibar. During the last 6 years, he was personally handling the tourism traffic of Tens of thousands of Israeli travellers to Zanzibar, while at the same time he was also a shareholder partner in a local hotels’ management company in Zanzibar.
